Black tea (Camellia Sinensis)
Black tea has many health benefits. The antioxidants in black tea are called polyphenols. Polyphenols have been found to block DNA damage associated with toxic chemicals. The tannins in black tea also have a therapeutic effect on the gastric lining and improve digestive activity. Black tea is the base used traditionally in chai tea.
Brown Rice Syrup
Fructose-free and has a lower glycemic index (GI) than traditional sweeteners such as honey or maple syrup. This ingredient has been used in our masala chai mix as has been found to prevent blood sugar spikes- which is common with other high glycemic index sweeteners.
Coconut Nectar

Ginger (Zingiber officinale)
Ginger is gently stimulating, which improves oxygen transport throughout the body. It has been used for relief from cramping, gas and nausea throughout history. Ginger has also been beneficial in both motion sickness, and morning sickness in pregnancy for hundreds of years.
Cardamon (Elettaria cardamomum)
Cardamon is native to the evergreen forests of India. Cardamon has been found to improve digestive and cardiovascular health. It is used to treat nausea, bloating, acidity, gas and heartburn. Cardamon's phytonutrients act in the body as an antioxidant, helping cells resist cellular ageing.
Clove (Syzygium aromaticum)
Clove helps to induce the production and release of bile from the liver and gallbladder, which aids in digestion and detoxification. Clove can also stimulate digestion and act as a pain reliever throughout the body.
