Turmeric is anti-inflammatory, stimulates digestion and the liver, and has been used for centuries for health benefits. It is thought to be the ‘gold’ that was laid at Baby Jesus’ feet.
INGREDIENTS
• 2 cups of your favorite milk- almond, rice, dairy, coconut (I like Cocoquench)
• 1 vanilla bean, split and deseeded
• 1 cinnamon stick
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
• 1-2 tablespoon turmeric powder
• 1 tablespoon maple syrup
METHOD
Put all of the ingredients into a saucepan (including the vanilla bean skin) and heat over medium high heat for 15-25 minutes. Strain and enjoy straight away or pop in a stainless-steel cup to have on the go.
