We don't do quick fixes here. The articles in this section are about long-term metabolic wellbeing, drawing on the food, herbs and supplements we use with clients in clinic. That includes the magnesium and B-complex formulas we rely on for energy production, NAD+ support where it's appropriate and Cell Squared liver for nutrient density. Whether you want more even energy, steadier moods or just to feel more like yourself, this is where to start.

Frequently asked

Questions we hear in clinic

What does metabolism actually have to do with how I feel?

Almost everything. Your metabolism is the system that turns food into energy at the cellular level. When it's running poorly, you feel it: fatigue, brain fog, low mood, poor sleep, hormone disruption, weight changes and slow recovery. Metabolic health sits underneath nearly every other system.

Can a naturopath test my blood sugar?

Yes. We can request standard pathology like fasting glucose and HbA1c. We also work with continuous glucose monitors and other functional testing to get a more detailed picture. Blood sugar dysregulation is incredibly common and often missed in standard screening, so testing can be useful when symptoms point that way.

What is NAD+ and why does it matter?

NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is a coenzyme your cells use to produce energy. Levels naturally decline with age, stress, alcohol and chronic illness. Low NAD+ has been linked to fatigue, slow recovery and poor cognition in research literature. We test before recommending NAD+ support, since the right form matters for individual cases.

How do I know if my metabolism could use some support?

Common signs people raise in clinic include persistent fatigue (especially after eating), brain fog, sugar cravings, mid-afternoon energy crashes, cold hands and feet and waking up unrefreshed. None of these confirm anything on their own. But together they're a signal worth investigating with your GP or a naturopath, particularly if they've been around for a while.
